Spring has arrived with its changeable ways. A burst of warmth last week to throw off the cobwebs and some dreary drizzly weather this. We are expecting up to 25 degrees in Melbourne next week which should spur the garden into action. The village is gearing up for our event with Open Garden Australia on Sunday October 5th. We’re hoping for a splendid day of sunshine as we have had a run of magnificent weekends. The smell of dynamic lifter has settled with the rain and new growth is in abundance.
We’re still planning our menu for the event but likely at the BARN to have some pulled pork rolls, veggie chilli with corn chips and snags in bread for those inclined. A cup of tea or some lemon cordial will also be on offer and there’s preserved lemons, marmalade, plants and some crafty bits and bobs to look at too!
